Parenting Support &
Family Therapy in Ontario
Parenting is one of the most rewarding — and demanding — roles there is.
When your child struggles with emotion, behavior, or regulation, it can bring out every part of you that feels unsure, overwhelmed, or afraid of “getting it wrong.”
Therapy offers a place to pause, breathe, and reset — not by judging your parenting, but by helping you reconnect with your values, confidence, and calm.
Who This Is For
Parent therapy is ideal for caregivers who are:
-
Raising neurodivergent or highly sensitive kids (ADHD, autism, anxiety, or giftedness)
-
Feeling exhausted by meltdowns, power struggles, or inconsistent routines
-
Struggling with co-parenting, blended families, or shared custody
-
Navigating school stress, IEPs, or support plans
-
Trying to stay calm and compassionate while managing their own triggers
Unsure how to balance structure and flexibility
My Approach
I integrate Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and values-based decision-making to help you parent from connection, not control.
Together, we’ll:
-
Build a stronger attachment and sense of safety with your child
-
Identify your core parenting values and align daily decisions with them
-
Learn how to respond instead of react when stress peaks
-
Create simple, consistent systems for routines and boundaries
-
Manage your own anxiety, guilt, and fear around parenting
Explore the difference between enabling and empowering your child

For Parents in Transition or Burnout
Parenting can be especially tough during times of change — work leave, health issues, or family stress.
Therapy can help you:
-
Rebuild structure during uncertainty
-
Strengthen communication with your partner or co-parent
-
Create realistic expectations around capacity
-
Find compassion for your own limits
You can’t pour from an empty cup — therapy helps you refill it with intention.
About My Experience
I don’t have children of my own, but I’ve spent over a decade teaching, supporting, and caring for kids and teens through therapy, creative programs, and group work.
I’m also completing PRIDE training to become a foster parent, which deepens my understanding of trauma, attachment, and family systems.
My role isn’t to tell you how to parent — it’s to help you discover what works best for your child, your nervous system, and your family.
